Perhaps a clearer way to look at it is that Amill's (or as my Dad prefers - "In-Mill's) do not see a literal or natural kingdom being established in the future for one thousand years. In other words, they don't see a Scriptural necessity or provision for Christ sitting on a real/natural throne in Jerusalem for a normal/natural 1000 years. With that said, they do believe in a coming heaven, so let me bridge the gap...
Amill's believe that Christ is reigning in a spiritual sense now from heaven (Matt 28:18-20, Col 3:1, Eph 1:20-23). They also believe we reign with Him in a spiritual sense - right now (1 Peter 2). There are also various disputed passages in the Gospels that Amill's take to mean that the kingdom is "within" us - which would also be understood that Christ reigns "around us" inasmuch as he is sovereign over the universe (back to Matt 28:19-20).
So - for Amill's:
Present spiritual kingdom over all but more exquisite or perfected in the redeemed (or the Church) who reigns with him as a kingdom of priests.
Future natural/literal kingdom of heaven that is eternity as we understand it. No 7 year trib or millennium in between. Straight from this world, to a judgment to eternity.
For Premill's:
Future literal/natural kingdom of Christ for 1000 years followed by eternity after a few judgments. You are probably more familiar with this so I won't elaborate.
For me (for now):
I think there is clearly some aspects of the rule, reign and kingdom of God existing now in a spiritual sense; at the same time, I can't discount what seems to be a clear Scriptural indication of a future 1000 year literal/natural kingdom of Christ on this earth. So it's sort of a "spiritual reign now/physical reign in the future." So kind of both, but not :-)
Josh is just a tolerant fellow who accepts both sides of an issue. Beware of him!
